Jochum recorded 3 times in his career, DG (1952-61), PHILIPS (1967-69), EMI (1976-79). This LP Box set is for the 3rd EMI recordings.
Because of the Quadraphonic sounds, the souds are very crisp and vivid throughout. It was a rare coocasion for him to conduct LSO though, the orchestra showed excelllent performance under Jochum's very German style music.
LP Conditions are excellent throughout.
